Space Platform Security

 These are conversions based on the Tox Trooper scouts. There's a paint tutorial for them in the works.

Haradrim/Arabian Cultists

These conversions were proof of concepts for my own fantasy Arabian style range. 

They're plastic historical's from Gripping Beast, with a fair amount of sculpting.

Tox Trooper scout conversions

 

The heads are prototypes that I wanted to do a paint test on, so sticking them on the Tox Trooper scout miniatures seemed like a quick solution. 

It got a bit out of hand and turned into half a days sculpting, adding extra bits all over the place in grey putty.

LOTR Ranger conversions

 I've been building my LOTR collection for about 10 years now and hopefully it continues for another 10!

The scale and size is important to the cohesion of my collection, and unfortunately the plastic Rangers miniatures are too big and chunky in comparison to the plastic warriors of Minas Tirith. 

Luckily it was a simple head sculpt and a random knife glued in place to make the warriors of Rohan into something passable as a ranger.

And quick and rough sculpting turned a warrior of Minas Tirith into a suitable captain miniature.

The Wheel weaves...

I was never a fan of the Wheel of Time books (I think I only got to book 4...) and even less of a fan of the new Amazon series.

That said, these conversions are based on a couple of the main characters. Mostly Frostgrave plastics from Northstar, with the guy on the left using Fireforge Mongol legs and torso. Most of the arms needed sculpting, along with a lot of details and touch ups.

Rusty Tox Troopers

This was a bit of an experiment and departure from my usual painting style. As such I struggled with the photo lighting - usually I just ramp up the exposure and brighten things a bit for webstore shots.

These are gaming paint jobs... so perhaps photographing them in amidst terrain at some point will improve them.
