Very lucky this year, books and miniatures - my favourite things.

Dungeons and Dragons 'Adventure Begins' is a great easy intro game for playing with people who have no idea what tabletop gaming or roleplaying is all about. It's aimed at kids (10+) but it's definitely a must have for anyone who wants to increase their circle and bring in fresh blood to the scene.

Reaper Bones miniatures are a bit of a revelation for me, extremely cheap and excellent quality! Painting them is a proving a treat already, expect pics soon.

First up will be a Frost Troll, and bits and pieces for Frostgrave second edition.

Ray Harryhausen exhibition

 The Edinburgh gallery of modern of art is hosting a Ray Harryhausen exhibition. There were some treats to see up close in real life:

New Tox trooper paint jobs - scouts

Finally finished these minis. They've passed the paint test (how easy and enjoyable are they to paint) so I'll order in stock and make them available in the webstore in the coming days.

In terms of what's next for the range, it's accessories. Making the torsos available on their own (the masters I used for sculpting the infantry) I can do arm variants - close combat weapons, heavy weapons, communications equipment, etc.etc.

I'd also like to do alternate head and weapon sprues... and with a brighter colour scheme make some good guys from the range.

However, plans are taking shape for a new heroic style sci-fi range using the man-at-arms torsos I recently released. More on that soon.

Underworld terrain tiles

 I'm testing out a dungeon crawler concept, these are the tiles I created for it. 

There's more work to be done - specifically I'll add in some weeds and detritus and perhaps some more dabs of colour. I also plan to make some features like raised platforms, walkways and tree/plant garden features... suitably grey and unhealthy.
